Solutions / GA4 Reporting

GA4 reporting, powered by your raw BigQuery data.

GA4 collects far more than its reports ever show you, including real activity from visitors who declined cookies. We turn the raw, unsampled event data into reporting your whole team can trust, and the foundation for true customer-level analytics.

The challenge

Where GA4 reporting lets you down.

Everyone arrives with a different trigger, but it usually comes back to the same thing — data they can't fully trust, or reporting they can't actually use.

The numbers don't match and you can't really say why.

Once you cross a certain size, GA4's standard reports stop counting everything and start estimating. Add in bot traffic, internal traffic and cookie rejection factors and you end up defending totals you don't believe.

GA4 UI only reports on visitors who said yes to cookies.

Every visitor who declines cookies still browses, searches, and sometimes buys. Standard GA4 reporting drops them completely, so you end up planning off a partial picture.

The GA4 reporting interface makes customisation a batle.

Exploration reports are powerful but trapped inside GA4. You want to strip out a traffic source, or compare time periods GA4 doesn't support? You're stuck with the views Google decided you could have.

The solution

A framework to leverage the value in your GA4 data,

We take the raw event data and turn it into a data asset you can trust to report on much more than website analytcs.

  • We get your raw GA4 data flowing where it can start to be useful

We get your raw GA4 events streaming into BigQuery and connected to Bright Analytics, so the full, unsampled detail is available to query directly.

  • We build the KPIs that drive your business

We build custom metrics from your event data, transparently defined in our semantic layer, so your reporting shows exactly what your business needs.

  • We link customers across devices and join to your CRM

We link visitors to customers across devices, and join to your outcomes data, so reporting reflects real business outcomes, not just GA4 events.

  • We unlock your unconsented traffic

We quantify the volume and behaviour of your unconsented traffic. A complete view of conversions and the role of marketing in unconsented data.

  • Fully customisable dashboards and reporting

All your modelled GA4 data ready to be analysed in our customisable reporting layer. No more custom explorations, workarounds or sampling.

  • Analyse your GA4 models anywhere via our API

Your GA4 models are available via our Reporting API, meaning you can connect custom reporting to any other BI tools you use.

  • Unleash AI on your custom GA4 reporting

Connect your LLM to your custom GA4 data model and leverage the raw data for deep analysis of user behaviour and conduct robust forecasting.

What changes

Data you can trust to build customer-level analytics

GA4's standard reports show a subset of what is happening on your site. Once the raw event data is flowing and modelled, here's what opens up.

Analysing the traffic that GA4 hides

What's happening with the visitors GA4 won't show you.

When a visitor declines cookies, GA4's Advanced Consent Mode keeps logging what happens but it strips out the device identifier. This data is not in the GA4 interface but it is in the event-level data feed, and once we model it, it can tell a valuable story and fill in most of the gaps in the UI reports.

  • Full picture of transactions and revenue generated through your checkout that the GA4 UI never counts at all.
  • Page and event activity from your unconsented users. This gives a clear read on what they're engaging with, even without a session to tie it together.
  • Geography, device, and browser, giving you a legitimate profile of an audience GA4 otherwise treats as invisible.
  • Which tagged campaigns are landing unconsented visitors, so you're not writing off traffic the standard UI would just call 'unassigned'.
  • Consent acceptance rates over time: both a transparency measure and an early warning if a banner or CMP change quietly costs you visibility.

This doesn't replace session-based reporting, and we're always upfront about what can and can't be measured for this segment. But treating this traffic as invisible means treating real revenue as invisible too.

A foundation for customer-level analytics

From anonymous events to real customers.

GA4 tracks events and sessions. It was never built to tell you who a customer is, what they're worth, or what happened after they left your website. The raw data is what makes that possible:

  • Stitch the same person across devices and visits, so a browse on mobile and a purchase on desktop count as one customer, not two anonymous ones.
  • Join web behaviour to your CRM, order history, or loyalty data, so marketing gets judged on real customer outcomes rather than GA4 events alone.
  • Build customer-level reporting, not session-level: lifetime value, repeat purchase behaviour, and cohort retention modelled from real identity, not estimated from GA4's own probabilistic modelling.
  • Feed that view back into targeting and optimisation, so spend follows customers who actually convert and stay, not just sessions that happened to hit a conversion event.

This is where GA4 reporting stops being a web analytics dashboard and starts being a genuine customer analytics data solution. Link your web events to your CRM data and start to reporting marketing all the way through to business outcomes and the bottom-line.

FAQs

Common questions

Do you need access to our GA4 property?

No. We work with your admins to make sure data is flowing into BigQuery — your team can authenticate all the connections we need.

What if we don't have BigQuery set up?

Not a problem. If you've never touched BigQuery, that's normal. We work with your team to get the feed in place — it's the first thing we'll tackle, as it unlocks everything else.

Can you report on visitors who didn't accept cookies?

Yes, within limits. We can't rebuild sessions for this traffic, since GA4 strips the identifiers that make session stitching possible, but page activity, events, geography, device, and even revenue are all still available and reportable.

Can you link GA4 data to our CRM?

Yes. GA4 raw data exposes event-level variables that can link on-site activty to outcomes in your CRM. This requires custom tagging on your site, and must be done with GDPR in mind, but once place it creates a robust sync between we and CRM outcomes.

Can we see historic data?

The raw data feed only starts collecting from the day that the transfer into Google bigQuery is activated. We can support with setting this and can host the BigQuery instance for you if needed.

Ready to get more out of your GA4 data?

We'll audit your current GA4 setup, discuss what's hiding in your unconsented traffic, and map out what a real customer-level view could look like once your raw data is properly modelled.
