Scope. This policy covers our website and how we handle enquiries, demo bookings and free-trial requests received through it. It does not cover the analytics data we process on behalf of clients within our platform, including during a trial, which is governed by separate agreements.

What we collect and why
Information you give us
When you submit a contact form, book a demo or request a free trial, we collect the details you provide - such as your name, email address, company, and any message or context you include. We use these details to respond to and manage your request.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, and where you have given consent, we and our third-party tools collect information about your device and how you use the site - such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring source. We use this to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
Demo bookings and Free Trial requests
Booking a demo
We use your contact details, selected meeting time and any information you provide about your needs to arrange and deliver your demo. This includes sending the calendar invitation, joining details, reminders and changes to the booking, and responding to questions or agreed next steps arising from the demo.
Requesting a free trial
We use your contact details, selected solutions and description of your use case to respond to your request, arrange trial setup and onboarding, and provide support during your trial. We may contact you about your progress, the end of your trial and any next steps you would like to take.
Our lawful basis
For people enquiring on behalf of a business, we rely on legitimate interests to manage these requests and related communications. Our interests are in responding to enquiries, helping businesses evaluate our services and supporting the demos and trials they request. We limit our use of your information to what is necessary for those purposes and balance these interests against your rights and reasonable expectations.
Where you are entering into a contract with us personally, we rely on the contract lawful basis where processing is necessary to perform that contract or take steps you request before entering into it.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting dpo@brightanalytics.com. If you no longer want to proceed with a demo or trial, please let us know. We need the contact details requested on the form to arrange and support your request.
Marketing is separate
Booking a demo or requesting a free trial does not subscribe you to newsletters or marketing campaigns. Any invitation to subscribe to those communications is separate and optional; it is not a condition of booking a demo or requesting a trial.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies on our website. Strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the site to function, are always active. All other cookies - including analytics and advertising cookies - are only set after you have given consent through our cookie banner. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the banner settings, or from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

The non-essential tools we use include:
- Google Analytics 4 - measure and analyse website traffic and usage.
- Intercom - provides our website chat and support messaging.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag - from time to time, to measure our advertising and reach relevant audiences.
The tools we use and where your data goes
We use the following third-party providers to run our website and manage enquiries:
- HubSpot - our CRM, form and demo booking provider. Contact form submissions, demo booking details and free-trial requests are stored here so we can manage and respond to your requests.
- Intercom - powers our website chat.
- Google & LinkedIn - analytics and advertising measurement, as described above.
Several of these providers are based in the United States. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, that transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the providers’ certification under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the use of the International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We share it only with the service providers listed above, who process it on our behalf to help us operate the website and respond to you.
We may also disclose information where required to do so by law.
How long we keep your information
We keep the personal information you provide for as long as needed to respond to and manage your enquiry and our relationship with you. We retain it unless and until you ask us to delete it, after which we will remove it except where we are required to keep it by law.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to or restrict how we use your information;
- request a copy of your information in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
