Designing the trusted data foundations your business needs.

Before the dashboards, before the platform decision, there’s the harder work: getting the data right, agreeing what to measure, and knowing what to do with it. That’s what we help you build.

When to talk to us

Most businesses want to improve three things.

Processes

Marketing data gets created with no shared rules. Taxonomy underpins everything downstream, and without it nothing further along can be trusted.

KPIs

Endless metrics, no agreement on which ones matter or which numbers to believe. More reporting, less clarity.

Optimisation

You've got the data, but what can you actually do with it? Where's the waste, what should you optimise, which tactic to change?

Back to basics

Marketing analytics answers one question: where will the next pound earn the most?

That’s the whole job — having data that answers the questions your business is actually asking. But two things get called “analytics” that aren’t the same thing, and the difference is the difference between standing still and growing.

Reporting tells you what happened

How much you’ve spent, what’s left, how many customers you acquired, how many demos got booked. It’s essential — and it’s entirely backward-looking. You can’t grow a business by looking at what already happened.

Analytics tells you what to do next

It finds the insight that leads to an action that leads to an outcome: a customer segment you hadn’t thought to target, the niche keywords your best customers search first, the complementary product worth cross-selling. Growth comes from deciding to do something differently.

The line between them blurs, and good reporting should absorb as much of that insight as it can — so what you learn from a deep dive becomes always-on, not a one-off.

The common thread

Both depend on the same thing: trust.

Trust that the data is accurate. Trust that the processes behind it were robust and actually followed. Trust that the KPIs you’re steering the business with are the right ones, defined correctly.

That’s a lot to get right, and it’s about far more than data and technical deliverables. It means understanding the business, seeing where it needs to change, and designing the ways of working that make data trustworthy enough to act on. A single source of truth isn’t a product you can buy — it’s the result of getting all of this right.

And it’s only half the problem. A data strategy on its own isn’t enough — the analytics strategy has to be planned alongside it, ideally by the same people. Decide them together and the structure serves the questions. Decide them apart and you get a tidy warehouse nobody trusts to make a decision.

What we do

We build trusted foundations on three pillars.

1

The right data

Trustworthy data starts with the rules that govern how it’s made.

  • Taxonomy workshops and naming convention design
  • QA processes to catch issues before they spread
  • Data collection and tracking review
2

The right KPIs

Fewer metrics, clearly defined, that everyone agrees on.

  • KPI discovery and prioritisation workshops
  • Calculation logic and data-source mapping
  • Working out what data each KPI needs — and making sure it’s there
3

The right levers

Data is only worth collecting if you can act on it.

  • Turning insight into decisions on spend, waste and optimisation
  • Identifying the tactics worth changing
  • Output and reporting design so the answers are easy to reach

Whatever tools you want to use, these are the foundations everything else is built on. Get them right and you can keep adding the solutions you need — one at a time, like extensions on a house built to take them.
