MySQL

Connect data in your MySQL databases to Bright Analytics and start analysing in minutes.

Integrate your MySQL data warehouse into Bright Analytics

Bright Analytics can connect to data in your MySQL databases. This might be useful for integrating internal data sources alongside marketing and other analytics data sources.

Pipeline or Data Host?

Bright Analytics can take 2 approaches to working with data in your MySQL databases:

  1. treat the database as another data source and use an ELT approach to connect and extract data and store that data in your Bright Analytics environment.
  2. connect directly to your MySQL database and treat it as a data host within Bright Analytics.

If there is a small subset of data in MySQL that you want to analyse in Bright Analytics then the first approach is probably more sensible.

If you have already ingested and transformed all the data you want to analyse, and you’re now looking for a platform that can bring that data to life (through semantic later and visualisation functionality) then it is probably better to treat your MySQL database as a data host within Bright Analytics.
